An Inexpensive Farmhouse Christmas Tree Makeover

3:01 PM

This year, I wanted to update my Christmas tree because I've kept it the same for the past few years. It was time for a change! I knew that I wanted to nix the tree skirt and go for a more modern farmhouse look with a galvanized tree collar. You won't believe how much I paid for the one I found!

After looking online, I found this galvanized tree collar at LTD Commodities for just $14.99! It's a big difference from the $80 price tags I was seeing on most websites.

To update the look of my Christmas tree more, I added a white and black buffalo plaid ribbon as well along with the burlap I've been using. The ribbon and the tree collar gave it a slightly more modern farmhouse look I'm happy with.

This tree collar comes in four pieces but was so easy to put together and I'm confident that it will be a breeze to store when the tree comes down. The collar is a snug fit around my tree's stand since my tree stands at 7 feet. I knew this was probably going to be the case since many reviews said that it would be if it was to be used on larger, taller trees. Shop this galvanized tree collar yourself, but just make sure you pay attention to the specifications! You can also shop the links below to purchase it on Amazon (the price will be higher though!).
