Skimping on sleep

There are also studies that suggest that lack of sleep increases your chances of developing Alzheimer's disease. A healthier alternative strategy is to plan your activities well in advance so that you are never faced with the need to stay up night. If events are occurring that are truly beyond your control, see if the people in charge of setting the deadline are willing to take them into consideration and give you more time.

Increase the number of steps you walk each day by getting into the habit of taking every opportunity you can to take a stroll, such as using the stairs rather than an elevator. Instead of sitting in an office and chatting, Steve Jobs, the legendary genius behind the success of Apple, would hold some of his meetings while walking.
