Fool-Proof Ways To Keep Your Purse Organized For Good

4:00 AM

Now I know I can't speak for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned, I try and I try to keep my purse organized and in that one moment when I go to look for something I really need in a haste, it looks like a bomb went off again. I'm one of those women that carries purses and handbags that are bigger than life. I've tried everything from purse organizers to nixing the bag all together. I always end up where I left off.

I thought that I would share these quick tips on how to keep your purse organized and keep it that way for good!

Keep the Cords at Bay

There are a few different ways you can do this. Some people I know use an old Altoids tin for their earbuds. Then there's also those cute little leather cord keepers that have a simple snap. Whichever you choose, it will definitely prevent your earbuds from being wrapped up around everything and...you know...you won't have keep replacing them because they keep breaking.

Bigger, the Better

Because I use such a big purse everyday, I find it hardest of all to find my keys when I need them. How did I fix that? I simply put a big key chain on it so it was easy to find and didn't get buried. You can check out a similar one to what I bought here.

Add a Pouch

If you hop from one purse to another or like to carry things in your gym back to save time and things to carry around, adding a pouch to your purse is the way to go. It will basically be a catchall for anything you need on the go no matter what.

Keep the Change

Like my purse, my wallet is also fairly large and doubles as a wristlet when I need to just hit the streets really quick for a run to the store or a park play date. One thing I hate is having my wallet get super heavy with change. An easy fix? A coin purse! It will make it so much easier when you need to find those 2 pennies so you don't have to break that dollar bill and will simplify emptying it instead of dumping out your wallet and hoping you don't lose your license. This little pouch is sure to do the trick and it's super cute!

Reduce, Reuse

Sometimes it helps if you carry an extra bag with you especially if you shop at stores that don't provide bags. I primarily go grocery shopping at Aldi and there have been times that I didn't have a reusable bag so I had to buy one of their big, clunky plastic bags. There are reusable bags made to fold and snap together to save space. These reusable bags are stylish and made of durable nylon. Not to mention it's a pack of 5 so you can store them in the car, diaper bag or anywhere else you may need them.

Eyeglass Holder

This is sort of a no-brainer and the only reason why I'm including it is because I've gone through at least 3 pairs of sunglasses. I would just throw them in my purse and they'd break by getting snagged on my keys or a lense would fall out because I threw something in my purse on the go and forgot all about them. This is also a perk because you can carry a cloth to get rid of those annoying smudges. (That is a pet peeve of mine!)

Do you have anything that you do to keep yourself organized? I'm open to suggestions, too! I need all the help I can get! 😂

  1. Nice tips! I plan to sew in something like the cord keeper with a snap to hook my keys instead of adding more weight with a big key chain. Hopefully, it works!
