DIY Give Thanks Pumpkin Centerpiece

7:06 AM

I've been seeing a lot of painted pumpkins around lately and thought it would be a great idea because I like the idea of keeping my pumpkins around longer than Halloween. I was inspired by Thanksgiving to add a little pizzazz to my coffee table. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already saw my centerpiece. It was missing something so this is what I came up with.

I started out with a small pumpkin and painted it white with craft paint. I applied two coats to really hide the orange.

After searching online for exactly what I wanted on my pumpkin, I stenciled it out on paper and transferred it with pencil.

I traced the pencil markings with a black paint pen carefully so I wouldn't peel the white paint off which was definitely harder than I thought. Future crafts like this might be with spray paint instead.

I thought it fit perfectly with the rest of the room and I hope that this little pumpkin lasts until Thanksgiving!

    1. It's one of the easiest ways I've found to transition pumpkins from Halloween to Thanksgiving...so long as you don't carve them of course! Thanks for stopping by!
