How To: Instagram For Business3:00 PM
I've used Instagram personally for a few years now. I have had an Instagram account for my blog for about a year and never really did much to it because Instagram wasn't exactly blog or business friendly until now.
Now, I'm one of those people that don't keep up with updating my apps. I don't have them auto-update either so I just found out all the awesome new things Instagram has to offer and I thought I'd share them with you!
You can now connect more than one account so this is perfect when switching. There's no annoying log out and log in that needs to be done. This has caused me to be able to use my blog account a lot more often.
You'll then notice that your profile looks different. There is a "contact" button and analytics icon at the top.
This is the most exciting part for me because the "Insights" section will really help when it comes to sharing. Here's the lowdown.
You can check your Impressions, Reach, Website Clicks and Followers. This pretty much eliminates the need to pay for a third party service to get this information. Horray for saving money!
You will also notice that there are buttons below your images. There's "promote" and "View Insights". When you chose "Promote", there will be two options. You can either promote visits to your website or prompts to call or visit your business. This is a paid advertisement option with fees that you can set for as low as $1.
Aside from all of theses fabulous options, Instagram has now introduced stories as well. This can be found at the top of your feed where you can record or take a picture of something and have it posted. You can add text as well. These stories will only be posted for 24 hours so it plays off the whole Snapchat idea. This is a great way to get you noticed without having to constantly post. Two thumbs up!
If you haven't changed to a business account, I highly suggest it. Just like any other social media, it makes you look more professional and has added benefits.
