5 Days of Easy Crock Pot Meals

12:19 PM

It's hot, it's sticky, it's Summer. Why slave away making awesome meals for your family for hours when you can dump it in the crock pot and go enjoy the weather? This past week has been nothing but crock pot meals so, in a way, this is basically my meal plan from the week.

You'll never understand how easy dinner is until you've planned a week of crock pot meals so if you never have, do it! It's a suggestion of course, but definitely worth it.

It started because I really didn't want to cook and thought this was the best alternative than throwing my pots and pans in the trash! {lol}

Day 1

Lazy Crock Pot Lasagna

Basically, this recipe is just some meat sauce with cheese ravioli. It's something I've made in the oven before, but I was really surprise at how well it came out!

Visit Spend With Pennies for the recipe.

Lazy Crock Pot Lasagna is a family favorite and so quick and easy to make! A delicious meat sauce is layered with cheese and spinach filled ravioli and loads of gooey cheese and cooks up perfectly in the slow cooker. This is one meal that everyone will agree on.

Day 2

Stuffed Peppers

I really just prepared the peppers like I would if I were going to put them in the oven only I didn't par-boil them first. This recipe will say to put the meat in raw (which you can most certainly do). I chose to cook it first so there wasn't a boatload of grease.

I used my own recipe, but I'm sharing this one from Stockpiling Moms because it's a great reference for cooking times, etc.

Here is a great way to make Stuffed Green Peppers using your crockpot!

Day 3

Pork Ribs

Ribs, ribs, ribs! I don't personally care for them in the crock pot really, but my daughter insisted so that's what we went for. They're easy to prep and easy to serve. I typically use ribs and BBQ sauce and that's it, but this recipe had a few bells and whistles to add so I went with it.

Day 4

Balsamic Chicken

Figuring out what to make with chicken in the crock pot seemed a little too hard. Everything I came across either had BBQ sauce on it (which is what we just had) or it was loaded with cheese.....um no. Balsamic chicken seemed pretty good so it's what we went for. I really liked it because it contained everything I already had so there were no crazy ingredients to buy.

You can find the recipe over at Served From Scratch.

Day 5

Shredded Chicken Tacos

When you're going shopping with a kid, asking them for dinner ideas don't always seem to work out. You ask them what they would want and then that's ALL they want. My daughter insisted on tacos and, well, it gets boring. I've made crock pot chicken tacos before and it's amazing so she got what she wanted. This recipe is great because it's easy to have enough for another meal and it's freezer-friendly.
