Repurposed Vintage Suitcase
Altered Artworks

The day finally arrived when she set her eyes on this vintage wooden luggage rack.  It was love at first sight, capturing his heart with a ruffly glance.  However, before their relationship could progress, she had to get a makeover.  After all, it’s not just everyday you find your perfect match.

Old Dresser to Toy Shelves Makeove
A Proverbs 31 Wife

I love makeovers. Similar to the way we are made new in Christ, makeovers take something old and worm transforming it into a work of art. Thus my old dresser to toy shelves makeover.

Homemade Marshmallows
Hoosier Homemade

…they are pretty much a little bite of heaven! Nothing compares to the fluffy, soft, whipped pillow of sugar quite like a Homemade Marshmallow!

Friday Goodwill Find: Deja vu
Debby Goes Shabby

Have you ever experienced "Deja vu"?  This is a French word meaning already seen or a feeling of recollection!  I had the opportunity to leave work early Monday and made a random stop by Goodwill and take a look at what they had just brought out and was still behind the counter.  My heart skipped a beat.

Apple Butter Coffee Cake
A Cultivated Nest

I love having an afternoon treat! There’s nothing better than a little sugary something to help pick me up when I start getting tired in the afternoon. I like the treat even better if it complements a hot cup of coffee! If you’re looking for a yummy afternoon treat, you’ve got to make this Apple Butter Coffee Cake!

TORTELLINI SOUP
Grace and Good Eats

Did you know that February is National Canned Food Month?  I always like to keep canned veggies, tomato sauces, etc on hand and always try to stock up during sales at Albertsons.  A well-stocked “cantry” helps you make nutritious and flavorful dishes you can feel good about serving.  The seal of a can guarantees freshness, flavor, nutrition and fantastic convenience –everywhere, every time –that no other package provides.  Not to mention canned vegetables are typically half the cost of frozen and 15 – 20% less than fresh.

I Used A Funky Cabinet Door As A Table Top
Petticoat JUNKtion

Did you guys have a nice weekend? I worked on projects, worked on my booth, and worked on homework. It sounds like I accomplished a lot but I really didn’t. I’m behind on writing  a research paper and a power point presentation for my Senior Seminar class. I really don’t like writing. I know I’ve mentioned that before. Notice I have more photos than text in my blog posts.

Easy Pumpkin Bread Pudding Recipe | Mini Chef Mondays
Baby Loving Mama

I admit I’m a sucker for a good bread pudding. Served warm with some ice cream, it is a favorite of mine to order in a restaurant. I have only made it once before myself with not so great results. (Learn from me. When choosing a pan to bake your bread pudding in, be sure to choose something that allows for even baking.) Handstand Kids recently sent me a complimentary Baking Around the World Cookbook kit.

Double Crusted Chicken Pot Pie Recipe
Southern Krazed

Ever since I was a child I have loved homemade dishes. I’ve never been much of a fan of boxed dinners or frozen entrees. I also love preparing homemade dishes, especially the ones I enjoyed as a child, for my own family.  One of my favorite dishes from childhood was a delicious and hearty Double Crusted Chicken Pot Pie. The filling is creamy and hearty and the flaky hand prepped crust is to die for!

ASPARTAME: THE MOST DANGEROUS FOOD ADDITIVE ON THE MARKET
Deep Roots at Home

So why am I writing about Aspartame again? Isn’t it a bit redundant? It would be if there were not still so many who do not know of its tragic effects, convinced by greedy big business advertising that it is safe!

Beware everyone, but also you pilots and pregnant mothers! You both have others on board.

Pistachio Bundt Cake
I Dig Pinterest

This doctored cake mix confection, infused with a pistachio pudding mix, pecans, and finished with a cool and creamy topping will win praises!  Its gorgeous green color makes it perfect for a St. Patrick's Day dessert, but it's a delicious choice no matter the time of year!
